Long Acres

Rooflights & Atriums were appointed to undertake the replacement of an existing glazed rooflight above an indoor swimming pool at Long Acres, a private residential property.

The project involved replacing the ageing roof glazing with a modern, bespoke rooflight system, designed to maximise natural daylight while providing a durable, weather-resistant solution suitable for the demanding conditions of an indoor swimming pool environment.

The Challenge

Indoor swimming pool rooflights present unique technical challenges due to the combination of high humidity, elevated internal temperatures and the potential for condensation.

The existing rooflight required replacement with a glazing solution capable of withstanding these conditions while maintaining the architectural character of the property.

Particular consideration was given to thermal performance, condensation risk, weatherproofing and the integration of the replacement rooflight with the existing roof structure.

Our Solution

Rooflights & Atriums provided a bespoke glazed rooflight replacement, carefully designed to complement the property's architecture and enhance the swimming pool environment.

The new rooflight incorporates a contemporary glazing system with carefully considered glazing bar arrangements and perimeter detailing, providing a clean architectural finish while addressing the specific environmental demands of an indoor swimming pool.

Our specialist team managed the design, supply and installation process, ensuring the replacement rooflight was integrated with the existing structure and surrounding roof coverings.

The Result

The completed swimming pool rooflight replacement has transformed the appearance of the indoor pool area, allowing natural daylight to illuminate the space and creating a bright, welcoming environment.

The new glazing provides a modern, low-maintenance solution designed to offer improved weather resistance and long-term durability.

This project demonstrates Rooflights & Atriums' expertise in bespoke residential rooflights, swimming pool glazing and specialist rooflight refurbishment, delivering tailored glazing solutions for high-end private properties.
