EN 12101-2 Smoke Ventilation Rooflights

Automatic opening vents can form an essential part of a building's smoke and heat control strategy, providing a means of natural smoke ventilation when incorporated into an appropriately designed system.

We work with specialist manufacturers to supply roof-mounted natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NSHEVs), with product selection informed by the relevant fire strategy and performance requirements, including certification to BS EN 12101-2 where applicable.

Our services include coordination of rooflight dimensions, opening configurations, glazing specifications, supporting upstands, actuators and interfaces with the building's smoke control system.
