Bespoke Dual-Pitched Rooflight with AOVs | Lonsdale TG50 Glazing System

Rooflights & Atriums Ltd were appointed to deliver a bespoke architectural roof glazing installation at Walkers Nurseries in Doncaster, featuring an impressive dual-pitched glazed rooflight incorporating Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs), utilising the Lonsdale TG50 thermally broken aluminium glazing system.

The project involved the design, supply and installation of a substantial glazed roof structure, supported by an engineered structural framework to provide a robust and visually appealing architectural feature. The dual-pitched configuration was designed to maximise natural daylight into the building, creating a bright, open and welcoming internal environment.

A key element of the installation was the integration of Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs) within the glazed roof structure, providing an important smoke ventilation function as part of the building's fire safety strategy. The opening vents were carefully incorporated into the rooflight design to maintain a consistent architectural appearance while delivering the required functionality.

The Lonsdale TG50 system provided a versatile, high-performance solution, combining thermally broken aluminium glazing profiles with excellent durability, weather resistance and a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
