Project: New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-under-Lyme Scope: Atrium Replacement, AOVs, Bifold Doors, Fire Exit, Secondary Glazing & Flat Rooflights

Rooflights & Atriums was initially appointed to replace an ageing up-and-over glazed atrium at the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme, incorporating new automatic opening vents (AOVs) to provide a modern, reliable roof glazing and ventilation solution.

The project involved the careful replacement of the existing atrium glazing, delivering improved weather resistance, natural daylight and long-term performance while respecting the architecture of this established cultural venue.

Following the successful completion of the atrium replacement, the client was so impressed with the quality of our workmanship and service that we were invited back to undertake further glazing refurbishment works throughout the theatre.

These additional projects included the installation of a new aluminium bifolding door, a fire exit door, secondary glazing throughout the building and the replacement of 13 ageing flat rooflights.
