Corus Hotel
Glazed Atrium Roof, Heritage Bi-Folding Doors & Internal Glazing
Rooflights & Atriums Ltd were appointed to deliver a comprehensive architectural glazing package at Corus Hotel, combining a striking glazed atrium roof with bespoke heritage-style internal doors and screens to create a bright, contemporary environment while retaining the building's traditional character.
The centrepiece of the project was the installation of a bespoke glazed atrium roof using the Lonsdale TG50 glazing system, designed to maximise natural daylight and create an impressive architectural feature within the hotel. The thermally broken aluminium glazing system provides excellent weather resistance, durability and thermal performance, while its refined profiles deliver a clean, elegant appearance.
Complementing the atrium installation, the project incorporated Jack Aluminium heritage-style internal bi-folding doors, providing flexible connections between internal spaces. The slimline aluminium profiles and traditional steel-look detailing combine the character of heritage glazing with the practicality of modern door systems.
The glazing package also included Exladeco heritage-style internal doors and glazed screens, creating coordinated internal partitions that maintain visual connectivity, encourage the flow of natural light and complement the hotel's interior design.
Careful coordination between the atrium glazing, internal door systems and surrounding building finishes was essential to achieving a cohesive architectural result.
The completed project showcases Rooflights & Atriums Ltd's ability to deliver integrated architectural glazing solutions, bringing together specialist roof glazing, heritage-style aluminium systems and bespoke internal glazing to enhance both the appearance and functionality of hospitality environments.
