Bespoke Glazed Roof Lantern, Curtain Walling, Aluminium Windows & Doors

Rooflights & Atriums Ltd were appointed to deliver a comprehensive architectural glazing package at the prestigious Saltmoore Hotel, formerly Raithwaite Sandsend, a luxury hospitality destination on the North Yorkshire coast.

The project involved the design, supply and installation of a striking 3m x 9m glazed roof lantern utilising the Lonsdale TG50 thermally broken aluminium glazing system, creating an impressive architectural feature designed to maximise natural daylight and enhance the hotel's contemporary interior spaces.

Alongside the roof lantern, our works included approximately 150m² of Exlabesa aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors, providing a coordinated glazing solution across multiple areas of the development. The systems were selected to combine contemporary aesthetics with durability, thermal efficiency and expansive glazed elevations, helping to create bright, welcoming spaces with strong visual connections to the surrounding landscape.

Working within a high-quality hospitality development, particular attention was given to architectural detailing, glazing performance, weatherproofing and the seamless integration of the various aluminium glazing systems with the wider building envelope.

The combination of overhead glazing, curtain walling and aluminium windows and doors required careful design coordination and specialist installation expertise to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish throughout.
