Bespoke Supported Dual-Pitched Rooflight | Lonsdale TG50 Glazing System

Rooflights & Atriums Ltd were appointed by GEDA Construction to deliver a bespoke architectural roof glazing installation at the Farnborough Road Residential HQ Office development, incorporating an impressive supported dual-pitched glazed rooflight utilising the Lonsdale TG50 thermally broken aluminium glazing system.

The project involved the design, supply and installation of a substantial glazed roof structure, carefully integrated with the building's supporting framework to create a striking architectural feature while maximising natural daylight into the office accommodation below.

The dual-pitched rooflight configuration was designed to provide an attractive, symmetrical glazed structure, combining contemporary architectural detailing with the practical benefits of overhead natural daylight. The Lonsdale TG50 system offered a versatile solution, incorporating thermally broken aluminium glazing profiles to provide excellent weather resistance, durability and thermal performance.

Particular attention was given to the structural support arrangements, glazing bar alignment, perimeter interfaces and weatherproofing details, ensuring the rooflight could be successfully integrated into the wider building envelope.
